As part of
our Professional Services, Sea West Enterprises, Inc. was involved
in a complex scientific data collection project.
We were
invited by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA),
Universe Division, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) to
participate in this undertaking due to our extensive knowledge in the
field of interferometry, observatory installation and design.
Our
Corporate Division completed the two phase project involving site
analysis, research, statistics compilation and the subsequent written
report for the Alternative Site Assessment for the Outrigger Array
for the Outrigger Telescope Project (OTP). The project involved the
examination of 8 alterative sites for the possible new location of
the Outrigger Array. Our research took us to sites in California,
Arizona, New Mexico, and the Canary Islands. The findings of our
report have been published in the Final Environmental Impact
Statement for the Outrigger Telescope Project for the Mauna Kea
Science Reserve, Island of Hawaii.
We were
pleased to be involved in such an exciting endeavor and are actively
engaged with other research institutions on a variety of scientific
and exploration projects.
